India requires testing of cough medicine before export after deaths abroad

A notification issued by the Indian government on Tuesday showed that the country will not allow the export of syrups to treat coughs only after testing samples in government laboratories, after the death of dozens of children in Gambia and Uzbekistan after consuming them.
