Defective batteries are covered under Apple’s Warranty, and replacements are free under AppleCare Plus plans if your battery has less than 80 percent of its original capacity. If it’s higher than that and you’re still disappointed with its longevity, your options are limited to third-party repair or going the DIY route with official Apple parts, either of which could be cheaper than Apple’s full-price service.
